7:59 AM

I am a restless wanderer in search of my 'personal legend' (as Paulo Coelho) puts it.

I have a dream...
The world be my playground
So that I can strut around.

I have a dream...
To rule hearts and minds
And bury the failures behind.

I have a dream...
Name, fame and fortune be my mates
And 'success' be my date.

I have a dream...
To die once and live forever,
Do good and savor.

I have to dream...
World be proud of me
Set a precedent for others to see.

I have a dream...
To be loved and remembered
Long after I'm dismembered.

I have a dream...
That my soul survives
And my work thrives.

I have a dream...
People may come and seasons may go
I may live on like an eternal show.

I have a dream...
To light up a flame
And the world be never be the same.

I have a dream...
The world be one happy family
And forget all that's silly.

Am I dreaming too much???

High on life!

1:51 PM

I am high on life, well most of the times. Life is not only an adventure, it is a celebration.
From Napolean to Albert Einstein all believed that 'Imagination rules everything...'It provides us with a reality higher than the reality we exist in.
Nature's bounties are up for grabs and I want to embrace them with both my hands. The sights, sounds and smells are there to be relished and savored. I choose to make the most of it.
I am going to take life head on with all my guns blazing....

7:09 AM

'When beggars die, there are no comets seen;
The heavens themselves blaze forth the death of princes.' (Shakespeare)

I would most certainly prefer to die like a prince or shall I say princess.Yes, I admit, I am selfish, greedy and materialistic. But what's wrong in wanting a better, bigger life. Even a saint wants moksha or salvation, a higher state of being, isn't it?
Till the time I am not running any innocent down or encroaching other's private territory, what harm can my toiling for an abundant life cause?

I am what I am, take it or leave it.

Value life!

7:14 AM

I value my life...becoz I love life and everything that touches me in so many ways.... soulful music, divine nature, innocent children, inspiring book, successful people...they all give me enough reasons to celebrate life.
I value my life too much to squander it in unimportant and trivial issues.I am preoccupied with my 'mission', my 'personal legend'like a woman possessed.I have time for nothing else. Time is fast slipping out...There's no time to mull and fret and worry...It's action time guys!!!!
I renew my vows and refresh my vision every morning. I reaffirm my belief in my reasons and dreams. I try very hard to negate the influences of all the distractions that surround me. At times, I do give in... but other times, I fight back and do not surrender.Striking a balance is the key, my friend. At the end of the day, what the world really cares for is the end result...the final outcome. Your struggle and pain is of no value to them. Therefore, pursue your purpose and potential in life. That's your holy duty to yourself. You owe atleast this much to yourself, buddy.

7:15 AM

Humongous projects, innovative endeavors, unprecedented achievements and path breaking breakthroughs all require the fertile soil of productive imagination. No matter how wild and impractical your dreams are- if you believe in them, they will surely see the light of the day.

Let your free-wheeling spirit hegemonise your existence (your mind, body and soul) and soar away to unfathomable heights. The punchline though is to possess unquestionable and unflinching faith that you would eventually succeed. If your 'crazy' vision is followed by stoic determination and stubborn perseverance, there's no stopping you.

And one word of caution, don't expose or disclose your 'preposterous' ideas to people who are insensitive to your aspirations. They wouldn't understand you anyways. You risk becoming their laughing stock. Just plan, prepare and springboard ahead in life.

Live Life!

1:07 PM

'Life was meant to be lived. One must never turn his back on life.' (Eleanor Roosevelt)

World history is replete with experiences of people who lost and lost and lost and then won. It is witness to myriad instances where men have conquered matter and realized their dreams. The prerequisites, though, are single-minded dedication, desire and diligence.
The nitty-gritties of life tire you and tear you apart but you have to rise like a colossus. Your life is too precious to fade away into oblivion. You have to validate your existence on this earth.
So embark upon this life with all your energy and make every moment count.

The Rising Sun!

8:00 AM

Everyone worships the rising sun. Even I do. I dream of rising and shining one day. Maybe I am a late bloomer. I pray to Almighty Father that my lofty dreams don't just remain mere wishful thinking and idle wool-gathering and I have the strength and the wisdom to realize my flights of imagination and passions of the heart.

The other day I read a billboard advertising:
'All I want is Everything.'
So true. I am comforted by the realization that there are people out there who feel like me.
All I want is the world to love me and be proud of me.
I wish to give back something of value to this world.
I dream of becoming the best.
I dream of educating minds, empowering them and enlightening them with the magical power of love.
I dream of exploiting and harnessing my fullest potential.
I know I am capable,
I believe I can deliver the goods,
I can be successful.
I may sound pompous, fiercely ambitious and greedy
but it's not wrong to wish for a better life, is it?
And mind you, I am a dreamer.
I am free to dream, to fly high, to envision...
Let me spread my wings and tough the azure blue sky...
An 'able' astrologer had once predicted about me, ' You can touch the sky...The sky is your limit...'
And I would like to believe him.

Someone so aptly mentioned, 'Those who dream the most, do the most.' I draw immense strength from this oft-quoted saying.

9:17 AM

'...I have dreams to fulfill...

and promises to keep
and miles to go...
before I sleep...'

It might take a little longer than others but my dreams and ambitions will eventually culminate into a beautiful reality. Life tests you, foxes you but I'll stick to my guns.
People will question your capabilities and they are justified too. After all, you are as good as you perform. At the end of the day, you have to deliver the 'goods'. And remember, there aren't any free lunches around.
You might be helluva talented, diligent and deserving but you have gotta prove yourself and perform in tangible measurable terms.
There aren't any takers for people who fail. That's the way the world works. And its perfectly fair. You should not be forgiven for your failures and non-performance.
But I believe I 'll have my day. Every dog has its day, isn't it? I know not the when but it will be...it has to be...
'Coz nothing succeeds like success and I hate failing...

5:30 PM

This world belongs to people like me- to the dreamers, the idealists and the romantics. All the growth and development, inventions and discoveries, success and achievement- that this world has witnessed since time immemorial can be attributed to the common, ordinary but enterprising dreamers who just dreamt big and subsequently chased them.

One who dares to dream, dares to succeed.
Dreams are the fuel which ignite the passion slumbering within an individual. Vision empowers and rejuvenates the man-machine.

'Drink life to the lees'

2:17 PM

'I want to drink life to the lees'

This apt line from the great Alfred Tennyson reverberates my take on life. The dreamer in me celebrates life and love, heartbreak and ecstasy. I love life. I love the goodness of life...I believe in the beauty and abundance that life has to offer me.
Scores of cynics and skeptics whine and fret all the time. The romantic in me inspires me to overcome all the negativity around me and see resplendent light at the end of the tunnel. I wish to the chosen one ...the lucky few who have it all. They have the cake and eat it too.
Tennyson summed up my ideas in few lines:
'...this grey spirit yearning in desire
To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.'

A Dreamer is Born!!!

4:45 PM

I am a dreamer... an incurable and incorrigible dreamer! I am sure I was born with stars in my eyes.

Dreams make my life worth living. They add a lot of zest and zing into my otherwise dull, drab and decadent existence. Dreams are the fuel which springboard me into action and empower me to race ahead in life.
Ages back, my psychology professor in college had spotted the nascent dreamer in me. She caught me once red handed day dreaming during one of her lectures. 'You are an innate dreamer, Shalini.' she opined candidly. The bitter-sweet realization dawned on me too for the first time. Yes, I am a dreamer!!!
But I am no lazy foolhardy shammer who merely constructs castles in the air. That's just the beginning dear. I believe in chasing my dreams. I have fire in my belly and the mettle to bring my flights of imagination to a logical conclusion.
I possess a dream of a life less ordinary... a life worth living and dying for...
I dare to dream...
