The Diary of A Dreamer

I know not when or how my seemingly foolish yet fantastic dreams will see the light of the day. I just know that they will...one day soon.

Nothing...no one can stop it from happening. There's no stooping me now. Circumstances cannot compel me and deadlocks dare not dampen my inviolate spirit. No power shall limit me from this moment on. The seed has been sown, it shall soon sprout and grow into a full-blosoming tree. Setbacks cannot stifle my insatiable quest for my aspirations.

Sure, roadblocks my lessen my speed but they cannot change my direction. I may trip and fall and get hurt but I shall jump on the rebound and rise and shine.

This is my day of reckoning and I shall grab it and not let it pass away. Whatever I think, feel, say and do is eventually integrated to my dreams -my ultimate goal.

The world is a stage and every one has a role to play. Often bad choices turn out to be good decisions while apparently good choices disappoint us in the long run. What do you want from life and what your priorities are. There are no rules. Everything is relative and subjective. Each to his own.

What really matters is who has the last laugh. How your life fares in the final analysis is imperative. Rest all is inconsequential. Isn't it oft-quoted that 'Whole is always larger than the sum of its parts'. Nasty pitfalls and perilous roadblocks do not make up your life. We are much bigger and larger than all of them. Temporary setbacks and failures do not determine an individual. Gains and successes need not always be measured in tangible material terms. An obvious bad choice may at times fetch you unparallelled joy and incalculable satisfaction.

Thus what is all important is you. Take care of yourself. Love yourself. Believe in yourself.  Everything else will automatically fall into place.
You will have 'the Last Laugh' !

I was reading a book last night and I came across a line which struck me like a thunderbolt. Few books and fewer writers have the power to shake you up. This particular book did that to me.

The book in question is Henry David Thoreau's widely-acclaimed classic, 'Walden'. The particular line that I am referring to here goes as follows:
'The mass of men lead dead lives of quiet desperation.'
Such a bitter naked truth and such waste of lives.

At this moment, I also recall a statement by the famous American writer, Ernest Hemingway:
'And how much better to die in all the happy period of disillusioned youth, to go out in a blaze of light, than to have your body worn out and old and illusions shattered.'

The first statement shows our lives as they are, the second one tells the way life ought to be.
Achievement and success are undoubtedly imperative but what is far more significant are our relentless efforts, our unshakable dreams, our inviolate spirit and our unflinching faith in ourselves.

So don't quit. No matter what, let the flickering flame of an abundant gratifying life keep burning inside you. Let not the turbulent winds of the wry weary world die them down.
